Perth, Australia-based collective Dancing In Space have been running their offshoot edit imprint since 2018, though previously they'd only released two - admittedly excellent - EPs. This third volume in the series, delivered four years after its predecessor, is therefore long overdue. As usual, they're scrabbling around in dollar bins for overlooked gold, offering up reworks of largely overlooked and under-celebrated gems. Check first the infectious, cowbell-enhanced disco drums and joyous Philly Soul orchestration of 'Alright Tonight', before moving on to the Soundstream style, loop-powered disco-house weight of 'Feel So Good'. Arguably best of all though is the low-slung, dub disco-propelled weight of piano-sporting B-side opener 'Holdin' Back', whose punchy horns, sinewy strings and heady groove usher in another eyes-closed, Philadelphia International style male lead vocal.
